Display Case 624 (THIS ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD)

Product Description
On a recent trip to Maryland, I couldn't help but notice an unusual pile of scrap lumber at a construction site I passed near Warrenton, Virginia. What caught my eye as I drove by was how the pile glistened in the sunlight, so I pulled a U-Turn at the next crossover and went back to investigate. What I found was a huge pile of pre-finished oak flooring cut-offs and pieces, left over from flooring jobs at the townhouses under construction, which they were happy for me to haul away.
This presentation case was made from that pre-finished oak flooring. The wood retains all its original finish, on the outside, and has been stained and finished to match where the wood was cut in the making of the cases.
This case features a hinged glass top which swings on brass hinges and secured by a brass snap-catch. The glass used in the top was salvaged from old windowpanes.
The gorgeous Battle Flag Red felt that lines the bottom was salvaged from damaged goods being discarded by a sewing goods retailer.
The inside measurements of this great case are 12 1/2 inches long by 8 9/16 inches wide by 2 inches deep.
Thick felt pads have been placed on the underside for tabletop display.
This really is a very nice "limited-edition" case, and is just perfect for displaying your Civil War relics, Native American artifacts, or anything else you want to display with pride.
